Believe…I Am a Healer
Brokenness is something every one of us understands.
Sometimes it's physical. Sometimes it's emotional. Sometimes it's spiritual. We all carry wounds, struggles, disappointments, and pain that remind us life isn't the way it's supposed to be.
In John 9, Jesus encounters a man who has been blind since birth. Before anyone else notices him, Scripture tells us something powerful:
Jesus saw him.
The disciples immediately begin asking questions about who was at fault. Was it the man? His parents? Was his suffering the result of sin?
But Jesus shifts their focus.
Instead of looking for someone to blame, Jesus begins revealing God's power.
Not every hardship has a simple explanation. Sometimes suffering exists simply because we live in a broken world that desperately needs restoration. Yet even in our pain, God is still at work.
Jesus heals the blind man in an unusual way. He places mud on his eyes and tells him to wash in the Pool of Siloam. The instructions may have seemed strange, but the man's healing began with obedience.
The same is often true in our lives.
Sometimes God asks us to take a step before we fully understand where He's leading. Trust often comes before clarity.
What happened next was undeniable. The man's life was so transformed that people struggled to recognize him. His encounter with Jesus changed everything.
That's what Jesus still does today.
Sometimes He heals physically. Sometimes He restores relationships. Sometimes He provides strength to endure difficult circumstances. But He is always working to bring transformation.
The greatest miracle in this story isn't simply that a blind man received sight. It's that a man encountered Jesus and his life was forever changed.
And the same Jesus who saw that blind man still sees you today.
No matter what you're facing, you are not invisible to Him. He knows your pain, your questions, and your struggles. And He is still in the business of healing hearts, restoring hope, and rewriting stories.
