The Naked Truth is a church-wide discipleship journey through the book of Romans. Built around The Guide, The Method, and The Mission, this experience combines a companion book, the READ Bible study method, small groups, and weekly teaching to help people discover God's truth, learn how to study the Bible, and confidently disciple others.

Reveal. Explain. Apply. Discuss.
A simple, repeatable way to study Scripture and help others do the same.
The Method
First, read the chapter summary and ask yourself or those you are with the first question(s) to get you thinking.
Second, look up the scripture passage referenced at the end of the chapter and read it. Then read it again. If possible, read it in a different translation. Every translation can help you notice something you may have missed the first time.
If you’re studying with a group, challenge yourselves to retell the passage together without looking at the text. You’ll be surprised how much you remember and how much you learn from one another.
Then answer these four questions by looking down and examining the text:
R — Reveal: What does this passage REVEAL about God and His character? What does it teach you about who He is and what He does?
E — Explain: What does this passage EXPLAIN about mankind? What does it EXPLAIN about who we are, how we think, and how we live?
A — Apply: What is one specific thing you can APPLY to your life today because of this passage?
D — Discuss: Who can you DISCUSS this passage with in the next 48 hours? Share what you learned, what challenged you, or what encouraged you.

The Naked Truth: about Sex and sexuality
God created sex, which means He also created its purpose and design. In Week 4 of The Naked Truth, we look at what happens when we trade God’s truth for our own desires, why His boundaries are meant for our good, and how Jesus offers forgiveness, healing, hope, and freedom when our lives haven’t reflected His design.

We’ve all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard, but the story doesn’t end there. In Week 3 of The Naked Truth, we uncover what sin really is, why we can’t save ourselves, and the incredible truth that Jesus stepped into our place. Who is Jesus-and what did He actually do? Jesus was more than a teacher, prophet or good man. He was fully human and fully God. In Week 2 of The Naked Truth, we discover how His death and resurrection defeated sin and death, why the empty tomb changes everything, and what it means to know Jesus as our living Savior.

Can God really be known? Romans 1 says the evidence is all around us. From creation to the longing for eternity within us, God has left His fingerprints everywhere. In Week 1 of The Naked Truth, we strip away assumptions and excuses to discover what God has revealed about Himself—and how He ultimately made Himself known through Jesus.
