Share a time when you or someone you know experienced a situation that seemed hopeless but turned around unexpectedly. How did it affect your faith or perspective?

Do you believe God can heal or wants to heal you or someone you love? Why or why not? How does your belief or doubt affect your relationship with God?

    Discover: Breaking Down the Sermon

    Read John 4:46-54 Together:

Reflect on the story of the royal official and his sick son. What emotions do you think the official experienced as he approached Jesus?

    Hope for Healing:

How does the expectation of healing in the time of Jesus compare to our expectations today? (Refer to Isaiah 61 and Luke 4:18-21)

What does it mean that healing is a sign and a preview of a promised future? How does this perspective change the way we view miracles?

    Trust the Healer:

How can we balance hoping for a miracle with trusting God’s character, even if the answer is not what we desire?

Discuss the difference between resuscitation and resurrection as mentioned in the sermon. How does this distinction affect our understanding of God’s promises?

    Faith as Contagious:

How did the royal official’s faith impact his family? Can you think of a time when someone’s faith influenced your own?

Respond: Practical Steps to Live Out the Sermon

    Pray for Healing:

    Cultivate Trust:
       - Reflect on areas in your life where you need to trust God more deeply. Write down one area and commit to praying about it daily this week, asking God to strengthen your trust in His character and promises.
