**Awaken: Discovering God's Word, Will, and Worth** 

Let's start with a question: Have you ever overslept and missed something important? Maybe  it was a class, a meeting, or even a flight. We've all been there, right? That moment of panic  when you realize you've missed out on something significant. But what if we're doing the same  thing spiritually? What if we're sleeping through the amazing things God is doing in our lives? 

In Nehemiah 8, we find a group of people who were wide awake to the power of God's Word.  After years of their city lying in ruins, they gathered together and demanded to hear the  Scriptures. Imagine 50,000 people chanting for the Bible to be read! They listened attentively  for hours, hungry for the truth and guidance it offered. 

For us, awakening to God's Word means making it a priority in our lives. It's about diving into  the Bible not just for information, but for transformation. Awaken to His Will 

The people in Nehemiah's time didn't just listen to God's Word; they acted on it. They  discovered a command to celebrate a festival and immediately obeyed with joy. This kind of  obedience is key to experiencing God's presence and blessings in our lives. 

Think about it: Are there areas where you feel God nudging you to take action? Maybe it's  reaching out to a friend, serving in your community, or letting go of something that's holding  you back. Embrace the challenge of joyful obedience and see how God moves in your life. 

Awaken to His Worth 

Finally, awakening to God's worth is about recognizing His greatness, even in tough times.  Nehemiah 9 is a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness and love. When we focus on His  character, it shifts our perspective and fills us with hope. 

Take a moment to reflect on who God is. Write down attributes like "faithful," "gracious," and  "loving." Let these truths anchor you, especially when life gets overwhelming.
