Colossians 1 is a rich passage that emphasizes the supremacy of Christ and the fullness of God’s work through Him. Paul reminds us that Jesus is not only the Creator of all things but also the One who holds everything together. He is the head of the church and the firstborn from the dead, demonstrating His authority over all creation and the new creation. Because of this, our response should be one of thankfulness, walking in a manner worthy of the Lord, and continually growing in the knowledge of God. This chapter challenges us to see Jesus as preeminent in all things and to allow that truth to transform our lives.
